Okay, to clarify my answer, in TS, there are 2 licenses - client and server. Server: The server license is 2003 Std, or 2003 R2 Ent. You can't load 2003R2 Ent on a 2003 Std license but you can do the reverse (there are circumstances when it's not true). Client: TS CALs come in 2 modes - device or user. So the CAL is either tied to device or user, thus if you have 20 users and 50 computers, the user mode is better. The TS 2003 CAL is for 2003, it doesn't matter if it's R2, Standard, Datacenter, whatever. Each user/device will also require a Windows 2003 CAL.
